The products used for dermal implants are Restylane touch, Restylane and Restylane Perlane. These are produced by a Swedish multinational based company called Q-med which was established in 1987. Q-med is a biotechnological and medical devices company that develops, produces and markets medical implants.
Restylane touch, Restylane and Restylane Perlane are based on a substance which is a non animal stabilised hyaluronic acid (NASHA) which exists naturally in the body. It's most important function is to carry and bind water. Q-med have developed a way of stabilizing the hyaluronic acid to create a product which when injected will produce an effect that will last for six to
twelve months. The crystal clear NASHA gel is injected into the skin and achieves its effects by providing
